The convocation ceremony of the Onyx graduating class was attended by Dignitaries, Eminent Scholars, Political leaders, Families, well-wishers, and Friends. The Convocation Ceremony recorded the highest number of postgraduate candidates with 159Ph.D, 312 Master and Master of Philosophy candidates which totals 471. A total of 2011 undergraduates were graduating, which had 110 first class.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ademola Tayo, congratulated the graduands, parents, and well-wishers because it is not an easy journey. He wished the graduands greater accomplishments and higher milestones. The Vice-Chancellor has urged the graduands to make positive impact nationally and globally.
