36th INAUGURAL LECTURE

The 36th Inaugural lecture of Babcock University was attended by Professors, friends, families, students, and loved ones for the Inaugural lecture of the day by Professor Folajimi Festus Adegbie.

Professor Adegbie is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Banker, currently serving as the Head of Department for Accounting Department, who is also serving as the Editor of Babcock Journal of Accounting and Finance. In Contributing to Knowledge, He has published 64 articles in peer-reviewed journals at the international and national levels.

Professor Adegbie in his Lecture, Resuscitating Financially Distressed Profit Oriented Organizations: Reinventing and Regenerating Pragmatic Strategic Approaches for Business Sustainability, talks about Business Sustainability in ensuring that the value created to satisfy the needs of the present generation of profit-oriented organizations is not compromised in order not to destroy the needs of the future generations of the organization.

In His speech, He talked about the Reinventing and Regenerating Pragmatic Strategy as a transformation and systematic guide to creating a new and adaptive firm showing how companies use strategic learning approaches to out-think and out-perform their competitors. He explained significant restructuring challenges. Employee Uncertainty, Investor Reaction, Loss of Assets, Decreased Public Image and Beyond Reengineering.
