NSCDC Pays courtesy visit to Babcock University

The Ogun state command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) led by the head of training, DC Ajayi Amos, has paid Babcock University a courtesy visit to follow up on the proposal to train some management staff on personal safety in view of prevailing insecurity in the country. He said due to the insecurity couple with kidnapping, car snatching, cultism in the country there was need for personal security information that should at the fingertips of personnel in time of emergency. According to him the insecurity situation seems to come to stay and therefore individuals and corporate organisations have to take necessary steps protect their environment against unprovoked attacks. Responding, President/Vice Chancellor, Professor Ademola Tayo thanked the delegation for the concerns of the Corps over the lives and security of the university community. According to him, security always took prime place on campus because where there is no security peace would be elusive. He said the administration would continue to take proactive steps to safeguard the staff and students at all times. He urged the Chief Security Officer of the university to liaise with the command and fine-tune the modalities and report back to him. “We are friends of the security agencies and all the time we have major events on cam-pus we always invite them to give a helping to our in-house security,” he said.
