I am delighted to welcome you to the School of Science and Technology (SAT), one of the pioneer Schools in Babcock University. SAT has grown over the years, giving birth to three other Schools in Babcock University. Our Faculty and students are well known for their excellence in research and innovation having showcased Babcock University in various national and international research fora in the past and recent times. MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the School of Science and Technology is to equip students with the necessary   ingredients of each discipline’s character, with the view of making them whole leaders of dignity prepared for responsible service to humanity. With in-depth analytic temper, they will be productive and acceptable to the society while being Christ centered.   

PHILOSOPHY

The School is determined to balance theory with practical training in solving problems associated to mankind and his environment.  With a firm and strong foundation, students will express their full   capacity to display talents and skills meeting the needs of mankind to the glory of God.

OBJECTIVES

i)    The students will be equipped adequately for the challenges in the basic, biological and medical, agricultural and industrial facets of life.

ii)   The students will be able to apply Biblical facts to scientific reason; while wholly imbibing the principles and application of faith and learning as espoused by the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates wishing to come for any of the programmes must possess 5 credits at the Ordinary level – WASCE/NECO or their equivalence, including English Language, Mathematics and any other 3 relevant subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Agricultural Science.

In addition, the respective   departments stipulate the admission requirement for both the 3- year 4- year and 5 year programmes.

DURATION OF PROGRAMMES

All the undergraduate programmes run for 4 or 5 academic sessions full time, for Direct Entry students 3 or 4 academic sessions are applicable depending on the department of choice.
