Our Partnership and Collaborations

It is of a truth that success in contemporary world relies on collaboration and partnership, locally and internationally with a view to harnessing and maximizing the exposure of faculty and staff to growing intellectual and professional development globally. This has informed various collaborative efforts as presented below:

  • PwC, KPMG and other big Firms locally and internationally recruit Babcock University BSc Accounting students for internship and full employment with excellent feedback.
  • Babcock University, Department of Social Work, collaborating with Savannah State University, Georgia, Atlanta, USA, where the 300 level students are undergoing their 2nd semester in the University.
  • Babcock University partnership with Advertising Council of Nigeria
  • Babcock University Partnership with Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
  • Memorandum of Understanding with United Bank for Africa on the provision of Internet on campus with eTECK
  • Federal Road Safety Corps, Southwest zone for the safety of lives on roads.
  • Department of Social Work collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire on faculty and student exchange program in training and research with 300 level students undergoing their 2nd semester in the University for foreign exposure with the trip funded by Erasmus Plus grant.
  • Department of Social Works has an understanding with GRO community, Chicago that provides Social Work graduates remote jobs in the USA, 7 students are currently on the programme
  • Kobi University: for Faculty and student exchange program in training and research.
  • FARMKONNECT AGRICBUSINESS PLC, Bode Wasimi, lbadan: for massive food production and training in mechanized agriculture.
  • TVC on training TVC staff and coverage of the University Programs
  • The 5GO Academy in collaboration with BU is training students in ICT skills to create a network of next generation technology entrepreneurs.

CONCLUSIONS

Babcock Business School is leveraging on the strength and versatile resources available at Babcock University to achieve its goals. We are also bridging the possible gaps by bringing in for our various individual and institutional players from the academia and industry, local and international to have a well-rounded and robust, and globally competitive system. For a while now, we have started forming profitable collaborations with like-minded professional and academic environments within and outside Nigeria for the purpose of knowledge interchange.

The world has turned into a global village and technology has also merged it into one language which makes adequate information relevant to individuals and businesses all over the world. This information in our opinion can only be received from a knowledge-driven economy with an informative citadel of intellectualism as the production floor. We strongly believe in partnership that will result in baking of knowledge, honing of skills, and enhancing of relevance with ripple effect benefits to mankind.
