    Theme Abstract

Faith Integration is the process of actively making religious beliefs shape the course of various aspects of life, including academics, work, and relationships. It is the intentional effort to connect one’s religion to daily activities (Ming, Leung, & Tong, 2021). This, from a Christian perspective, would specifically encompass the recognition and consideration of biblical standards as the ultimate yardstick for making decisions and executing actions. In the academic context, the integration of faith involves the application of biblical perspectives and values to the study, teaching, demonstration and understanding of different subjects (Kaak, 2016). This may involve examining how biblical values inform ethical considerations in the society, understanding the relationship between science and faith, or exploring biblical texts and their relevance to different academic disciplines such as in the applied sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The increasingly discordant trajectory of world events makes faith integration—by affirming and applying principles rooted in the Bible to address emerging ethical challenges—a more imperative paradigm of intervention. It is with the aim of providing a robust framework for understanding the relevance of integrating faith in contemporary society that the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Babcock University, Nigeria is organizing the 5th International Conference for Faith Integration, on the theme “Reawakening Ethical Consciousness in an Evolving Society.”Scholars, educators, leaders, researchers, professionals, practitioners, teachers, and individuals from different settings can attend and present papers that explore the integration of faith to address ethical issues shaping their milieu. By the end of the conference, participants would have engaged and proffered models for valuing and consolidating legitimate ethical principles applicable to various aspects of human life; with a view to developing faith- driven responses to current social, cultural, and political challenges.
